The De Rose and Associates Supply Chain Management program is focused on ensuring Customer Value through superior service and support , while at the same time optimizing total Customer/Supplier costs in the materials and information flow.
Since these objectives are relevant to the existing customer base, we offer a companion program -- Value Selling -- which is designed to promote the expansion of existing market share, and improve Supplier track record in acquiring new customers.
Very simply, Value Selling is the discipline that focuses exclusively on satisfying Customer requirements at the lowest total cost of acquisition, ownership, and use, while at the same time ensuring equitable Value in exchange to the supplier. Its three essential elements are:
1. the satisfaction of customer requirements, fully and reliably
2. their satisfaction with cost effectiveness
Being "cost effective" means that what is sold:
- reduces cost to the customer
- avoids cost for the customer
- offsets customer cost by increasing sales or improving cash flow
3. negotiating win-win agreements that ensure Value to both buyer and seller
